Apple Chips

I’m always on the lookout for fun + healthy post-workout snacks. I’m almost ravenous once I’m done, and could potentially eat anything put in front of me. So dehydrated fruit is definitely a great option to keep it healthy and get a portion of the required five a day. It doesn’t take much time to prep, you can leave it in the oven and almost forget about it till it’s done. And then you have something to munch on when you really need it.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 apples

Method of Preparation

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 100°C fan.

  2. Slice the apples really thin, about 1/3 cm. Arrange in one layer on a lined baking tray. Bake for 1 hour. Remove the tray from the oven, turn the slices over, and bake for another 1 1/2 hours.

  3. Allow it to cool completely before storing in an airtight container. Ideally lasts for a couple of days.
